Molly was born and raised in Pennsylvania. She began her professional stage career at the age of 13 in the Philadelphia's Prince Music Theater. Her nomination was for one of the Barrymore Award nominee for her part as Little Red Ridinghood at the Arden Theater's production Into the Woods. The role was reprised by Molly when she made her Broadway debut in Into the Woods at Broadway in 2002. She received a Drama League Award for this performance. Molly also performed on the Broadway production of Fiddler on the Roof in 2004. After that, she went to Princeton University and was a member of the Triangle Club. She graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in 2008. in Religion. In university, Molly was the first actress to make her debut on stage in Disney College Road Trip playing Wendy Greenhut. Molly has worked on TV shows, such as Royal Pains, and an HBO Pilot The Wonderful Maladys. Molly played involved in the 2007 Barrington Stage Company production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee as well as in the Westport Country Playhouse's 2010 performance of The Diary of Anne Frank in which she played Anne. Molly is most well-known for her performance in the film Paranormal Activity 2 in which she is the teenage daughter Ali as well as the ABC comedy written by Jack Burditt and with Tim Allen entitled Last Man Standing
