Grimes
Claire Elise Boucher is a Canadian musician, singer and songwriter from Canada. Her early work is called "lo-fi R&B to futuristic dance-pop",[4and influenced by electronic, hip-hop, and rock. She frequently incorporates science fiction as well as feminist themes in her songs. The singer has released five studio albums. Grimes came from Vancouver then moved to Montreal. The singer began her independent career in the latter part of the early 2000s. In 2010, she released two albums via Arbutus Records, Geidi Primes (and Halfaxa), respectively. After contracting with 4AD, she rose in popularity with Visions, her third studio album. Visions features the singles "Genesis" as well as "Oblivion" as well as the Canadian music industry's Juno Award for Electronic Album of the Year. The album that she released as her fourth studio effort Art Angels was released in the year 2015. It received high praise from critics and many magazines voted it to be the top album of the year. Miss Anthropocene was her fifth studio album. Grimes has also been an actress and judge in Alter Ego's music contests, performed as an actress for Cyberpunk 2077 which was released in the year 2020.
